Welcome to Phone Detox (also known as ScreenLock Detox).
We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data.
This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our application.
2. Information We Collect
2.1. Locally Stored Data

We DO NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers.
The data stored includes:
- Lock screen settings: Lock mode, duration, time range, lock screen type
- Whitelist applications: Applications you choose not to block
- Missed notifications: Information about notifications that were hidden when the lock screen was active (stored locally only, maximum 100 notifications)
- Wallpaper settings: Category and URL of wallpapers you have selected
- Battery animation settings: Vibration and sound options
- Selected language: Interface language
2.2. Permissions
For the application to function properly, we require the following permissions:
- Display over other apps (Overlay): To display the lock screen overlay on other applications
- Usage access (Usage Stats): To track which application is open and apply the lock at the right time
- Notification access (Notification Listener): To hide notification content when the lock screen is active (optional)

- Internet connection: Only to load wallpapers from Pixabay (if you use this feature), display advertisements, and sync with Firebase services
2.3. Firebase Services Data Collection
Our application uses Google Firebase services to improve app functionality and user experience.
The following Firebase services may collect certain information:
- Firebase Analytics: Automatically collects anonymous usage statistics including:
- App events (e.g., screen views, button clicks, feature usage)
- Device information (device model, operating system version, app version)
- General location data (country/region based on IP address, not precise location)
- App performance metrics (crash-free users, engagement metrics)
This data is collected anonymously and cannot be used to identify you personally.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Automatically collects crash reports and error logs when the app crashes or encounters errors, including:
- Stack traces and error messages
- Device information (model, OS version)
- App state at the time of crash
This helps us identify and fix bugs to improve app stability. Crashlytics is disabled in debug builds.
- Firebase Remote Config: Used to remotely configure app settings (such as ad unit IDs) without requiring an app update.
This service may collect device identifiers to deliver personalized configurations.
Firebase data is stored on Google's servers and is subject to Google's privacy policy.
You can learn more about Firebase data collection at
https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
2.4. Google AdMob Advertising Data
Our application uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.
AdMob may collect and use the following information to provide personalized ads:
- Advertising ID (AAID/IDFA): A unique, resettable identifier used for advertising purposes
- Device information: Device type, model, operating system, and version
- Location data: General location (country/region) based on IP address for ad targeting
- App activity: Information about ads you interact with (views, clicks)
- Network information: IP address, network type (Wi-Fi, mobile data)
AdMob uses this data to:
- Show you relevant advertisements
- Prevent fraud and abuse
- Measure ad performance and effectiveness
- Comply with legal requirements
You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device's advertising settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization
- Note: You will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to your interests
